Centre for Defence Industry Capability

The Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC), headquartered in Adelaide, connects Defence needs with the innovation and expertise of Australian defence industry, as well as help grow a competitive, sustainable Australian defence industry base.

The centre is funded by the Department of Defence to assist Australian businesses working in the defence industry or looking to get involved. It plays a pivotal role in strengthening the relationship between Defence and industry, while realising the Government’s commitment to industry as a fundamental input to capability.

CDIC advisors help businesses navigate the defence market by providing specialist advice on improving competiveness and accessing global markets, while facilitating connections with other businesses and Defence.

The CDIC also links Australian innovators, researchers and academic institutions to Defence’s two innovation programs – the Defence Innovation Hub and the Next Generation Technologies Fund.
