We build ruggedised: truck bodies, trailers, cabins, shelters and special purpose vehicles for military, mining, government, and transport industries (build-to-print and bespoke).

First established in 1975, in Adelaide, South Australia, Aldom is Australian owned and employs 50 people across design, engineering, fabrication, repair, maintenance and logistics.

We operate from a 17,000 sqm site in Wingfield, close to Edinburgh Defence Precinct and Osborne Naval Shipyard. We have operational capacity and room to expand our operations if required.

Products and Services

Aldom makes ruggedised trucks, trailers, armoured vehicles, special purpose ruggedised vehicles, explosives trucks, deployable ruggedised infrastructure (self-contained living, catering, power, water, sanitation), mobile medical, handrails, steps, gates, grates, brackets towbars, supports, stowage, accessories, specified ruggedised parts, reinforced panels and refrigeration modules using fibre composite panels made in-house.

We also repair, modify, and sustain existing vehicles.

We build to print or provide a bespoke design, engineering, and fabrication service to our customers.

Accreditations

We have successfully delivered work for Raytheon Australia, Thales Australia and Defence itself. Aldom is now upgrading its QMS and expects to achieve ISO9001:2015, ISO45001 and ISO14001 certifications in 2021.

Aldom holds a Federally approved Certification for in-house approval of Heavy Vehicles.

AIR3024 Phase 1 – Woomera Range Remediation, fabrication of C2 infrastructure that has been used to replace the Aerospace Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Research and Experimentation (R&E) equipment at the Woomera Test Range (WTR).
