Cobham is a South Australian success story. The company was conceived by two Adelaide families under the National Jet Systems brand that sold Cobham in 2000. It commenced as a single aircraft contract servicing the Santos Moomba oil and gas fields from Adelaide.

Over the last 30 years Cobham has grown to be Australia’s largest aviation company behind Qantas and Virgin, with operations in all states and territories. South Australia is at the hub of defence ISR operations and development, providing a natural evolution from their civil ISR operations.

Cobham looks forward to an increased focus on supporting and providing aviation solutions within the defence industry. Our civil ISR capabilities coupled with our extensive platform design, modification and integration expertise position us well to support defence ISR capabilities such as the Project Air 7003 armed remotely piloted aircraft system.
