The State Government is supporting an interstate specialist defence focussed architecture firm establish a base in South Australia, so they can leave their mark on key defence projects.

Perth-based architecture and design firm Actus has expanded its national footprint into South Australia, joining the Defence and Space Landing Pad at South Australia’s Lot Fourteen innovation district.

The veteran-owned company delivers bespoke architectural, landscaping, and interior design solutions for both Defence and civilian clients.

With a strong track record supporting Defence infrastructure projects across the country, the firm is establishing South Australian operations to provide tailored architectural services to key stakeholders in the state’s thriving Defence sector.

The company plans to grow its South Australian workforce to 12 or more within the next 12–18 months, underscoring its commitment to supporting local talent and the South Australian economy.

The Defence and Space Landing Pad is a one-stop-shop supporting international and interstate companies to establish a long-term presence in South Australia by providing short-term accommodation leases and government and industry connections.

Actus joins a growing list of defence and space companies that have used the Landing Pad as a springboard into South Australia, including Australian naval equipment manufacturer Marenav, global IT and consulting firm CGI and French defence leader MBDA.
