Defence Bank is one of Australia’s larger member-owned banks and commenced operations in March 1975 as Defence Force Credit Union Limited (Defcredit) before changing its name to Defence Bank in 2012.

We re-invest our profits back into the Bank to make sure we give you the service and competitive products you deserve.

Defence Bank partners with defence industry organisations to give their employees access to a range of unique everyday banking offers, along with dedicated support from a relationship banker.
These offers include discounts on rates and fees on personal, home loan and general insurance products. Members have access to a professional package on home lending, where they can borrow up to 90% of the property value without paying lenders mortgage insurance.
In addition to the support of a dedicated relationship banker to help with financial wellbeing, Members enjoy a full-service digital offering that includes a fully featured award-winning banking app that is rated 4.7 stars in the Apple Store and Google Play. They can make convenient and fast payments through Osko and PayID and have access to the full suite of digital pays – Apple, Google, Fitbit, Garmin and Samsung. The Bank is at the vanguard of digital banking services.
