Company Overview

The Defence Innovation Partnership is a collaborative initiative of Defence SA, Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) and South Australia’s three public universities, the University of Adelaide, Flinders University and the University of South Australia.

Bringing together a world-class collective of thinkers, practitioners and experts in defence research and development, each of the partners is committed to a model of genuine collaboration between governments, industries and universities.

We help the South Australian research and development community meet the needs of Defence by navigating the path to the creation of new technologies that transform and inspire.

The Defence Innovation Partnership’s objectives are aligned with the South Australian state priorities, the priorities of DSTG’s STaR Shots and Next Generation Technologies Fund, and the Defence Innovation Hub.

Products and Services

Building and Supporting Collaborations – we facilitate the creation of the best teams for research and development projects. We’ll work with you to determine where your project gaps are, and we’ll find the right people, infrastructure and programs to fill them, whether they’re from government, industry or academia.

Providing Advice and Advocacy – we can provide advice on Defence priorities, research capabilities and industry requirements including recommendations for research and development pathways or funding opportunities.

Through our local, national and international networks we are raising the profile of South Australia’s research and development capabilities and attracting more opportunities to the state.
