Praetorian Aeronautics is an emerging South Australian company specialising in the research and development of unmanned combat air vehicles, as well as the production of light tactical drones for offensive and defensive operations.
Praetorian’s advanced artificial intelligence enables precise targeting and seamless command and control. Additionally, Praetorian is developing low-cost attritable aircraft and a cost effective air defence system to counter low-altitude drone attacks.
Praetorian’s platforms provide civil defence authorities with cost effective capabilities that can enhance security, disaster response, and environmental sensing. Our platforms can accommodate a wide variety of sensors that allow for varied mission sets, such as bushfire monitoring, naval EEZ patrol, and border patrol. With onboard advanced AI capabilities, data processing and management is optimised to provide operators increased situational awareness with less cognitive overload.
Products and Services
The Hadrian C-UAS system provides area denial capability against one-way attack drones, loitering munitions, and other hostile UAS threats. Hadrian’s kinetic hardkill capability can engage hostile targets beyond visual range and in a GNSS denied environment. The AI driven open architecture combat and sensor system provides the ability to detect hostile UAS at significantly enhanced ranges utilising a passive sensor array.
The Venator UCAV family, currently under development, provides both penetrative and permissive ISR capability, as well as strike capability. Venator leverages existing, proven technologies to provide an affordable and cost effective capability that is mission configurable and upgradeable. With a modular design and open architecture framework, the Venator UCAV system allows for storage and transport of two aircraft in one 20-foot ISO shipping container.
