New partnership to strengthen defence industry workforce

Veteran-led training facilitator, Aimpoint, and recruitment agency, Techforce Personnel as part of PeopleIN, have joined forces to support innovative workforce solutions for critical industries, including defence.

A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Avalon International Airshow promising a partnership to upskill and expand Techforce Personnel’s talent pool via Aimpoint’s cost-effective and innovative training solutions.

The agreement will support the development of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality training solutions, collaboration for the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance sector, the establishment of training and employment pathways for Pacific and Southeast Asian nations, as well as the development of workforce solutions for the blast and paint industry.

Aimpoint Chief Executive Officer, Jenna Robinson, expressed excitement for the partnership.

“This partnership will support Aimpoint to accelerate its strategy to develop Virtual Reality training solutions for key industries such as mining and defence,” Ms Robinson said.

“We are excited to draw on Techforce Personnels’ significant experience in providing workforce solutions for industry, and work together to develop innovative training products and services.”

Techforce Personnel’s Chief Executive Officer, Justin McNicol, said the organisation has a strong defence industry offering.
