Redarc chosen for NASAMS project

South Australian-based company Redarc will partner with Norwegian defence giant Kongsberg to supply parts for a ground-based surface-to-air missile system for the Australian Army.
The partnership will see Redarc provide the electro-mechanical components for the NASAMS system’s Fire Distribution Centre, as part of project LAND 19 Phase 7B.
Defence SA Chief Executive Richard Price welcomed the partnership which will facilitate the transfer of technology to Australian industry and strengthen the local company’s defence industry capabilities.
“Over the past five years Redarc has played an important role in growing South Australia’s defence capabilities and has demonstrated its expertise in advanced design and manufacturing to meet the demands of defence,” he said.
“This partnership builds momentum, creates new opportunities and is well deserved recognition of the significant investment Redarc has made in entering the defence market.”
Established in 1979, Redarc Electronics is an advanced electronics manufacturer successfully supplying solutions to the Australian and international heavy commercial and defence vehicle sectors.
Since first exploring the defence market in 2015, Redarc has significantly advanced its defence portfolio, with a dedicated defence team and a growing number of international Defence customers.
In 2019 the company launched Redarc Defence Systems, a dedicated business to meet the growing needs of the Australian Defence market for Australian owned defence medium sized enterprises that can foster the development of intellectual property in Australia.
