APC Technology advances Land 400 Phase 3

Local design and manufacturing company APC Technology has shared an update on their collaboration with Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) for Land 400 Phase 3.

Chosen by HDA as the sole domestic supplier of the Australian Standard General Vehicle Architecture (ASGVA) screens and Large Briefing displays for the program in 2024, APC has since designed and produced prototypes for installation within the Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Joint Fires vehicles.

The project began with extensive design and engineering phases, followed by a two-part prototyping stage, which was successfully completed in early 2025.

The company not only surpassed environmental testing requirements, but also achieved the key project milestones such as providing critical support for HDA’s contractual and operational needs.

APC Technology’s Managing Director, Craig Williams, shared enthusiasm about the progress to date.

“Our team has demonstrated exceptional engineering and manufacturing capabilities throughout the LAND 400 Phase 3 program,” said Mr Williams.

“Exceeding environmental testing standards and achieving key milestones highlights our commitment to delivering world-class defence technology.

“This project is a testament to Australian innovation and expertise.”

APC is now preparing for full-scale production to begin in 2026.

South Australian industry involvement in the LAND 400 Phase 3 project is a testament to the state’s long history in delivering land defence solutions for the Australian Army, reinforcing the state’s reputation as a trusted hub for mission-critical defence innovation and advanced manufacturing.
