Bechtel sets up regional base at Lot Fourteen

Adelaide’s world-class innovation district, Lot Fourteen has welcomed engineering, construction and project management company Bechtel as tenants.

Working alongside other high calibre companies based at Lot Fourteen, Bechtel brings over a century’s worth of experience in energy, infrastructure, manufacturing & technology, mining and metals, nuclear, security and environmental markets.

Lot Fourteen State Project Lead, Di Dixon reinforced the importance of presence of companies like Bechtel to help achieve South Australia’s ambitions.

“Bechtel’s arrival at Lot Fourteen is another step towards building our state’s capabilities required to meet future infrastructure needs,” said Ms Dixon.

With a vast range of exciting opportunities available in South Australia, the State’s commitment to renewable energy was one of those to draw Bechtel to Lot Fourteen.

“South Australia continues to lead the world in renewable energy and is looking ahead to harness the next era of prosperity in the minerals and green manufacturing sectors,” said Bechtel Australia Chair Catherine Tanna. “We’re here to support the state’s ongoing mining, defence and infrastructure developments.”

The expansion of Bechtel’s national footprint to South Australia signals an ongoing commitment to further support the development of the state’s economy.

Headquartered in the US, Bechtel was established in 1898, and has completed more than 25,000 projects in 160 countries on all seven continents.

The company joins over 160 other world-leading and innovative companies in the global and local technology, space, defence and research industries at Lot Fourteen.
